I can actually feel all the individual lymph nodes in my neck. Ears, jaw and throat hurt. Fever and cold sweats. Am a shivering mess. This is honestly hell.

I feel so disgusting I need a bath or shower. What kind of temperature is that supposed to be?

Any other tips or tricks.

Tepid bath paracetamol and fluids.

You poor pet. If I was like that I would straightaway take 1000mg paracetamol. You'll feel human again in 20 minutes.

Epsom salt bath. Hot water bottle for comfort. Paracetamol. Warm soothing drinks (honey and lemon) Hope you feel better soon.

Do you have a cough? rest as much as possible, have no idea on what your daily life is like but go to bed if you can.

Drink this, half a teaspoon of ginger paste in hot water with honey added. Take vitamin C.

Paracetamol and ibuprofen, you can alternate them.
Do have a warm bath or shower but be careful if you are alone, you don’t want to pass out.
Bed. bed bed bed. Take a sports bottle of water with you.

If you have a fever / rigours (shivering), you need a tepid/lukewarm shower or bath to help reduce your temperature. Take paracetamol. Clear fluids. Lots of sleep. Eat bland foods if you’re able.

I didn’t have Epsom salts so did a magnesium bath. That was nice. Although since getting out my hands are now feeling dead and tingly.

What on earth is going on! What is this illness. And I was supposed to be taking my little boy to Legoland tommorow 😭

It's so awful when you feel like this. You start to imagine it won't end but it does! And it gives you an appreciation of feeling well when you recover!

I think taking as much pain relief as you can and trying to sleep is best - if you can take a nytol or a night nurse, get into bed and watch something distracting until you drift off. Remember - this too shall pass OP Flowers
