UC housing element and council property

Hello.

I was wondering if anyone can help me please who works in this sector or has experience. I’ve been offered to view a council property. I’m currently in private rent and receive LHA for my housing element. Does anyone know how housing Element works for a council property. Is the full rent paid or is still based on LHA? Thank you.

As long as you don't have any 'spare' rooms it should be covered fully by UC housing element.
'Spare' rooms are rooms above what you're entitled to legally

Actually, if a heating charge is covered by your rent, that portion wouldn't be covered. You'd need to pay that as you would normally pay gas or electric but the money goes to the council rent account

As above, covered in full unless you are under occupied in which case some is deducted.
