To ask if this is enough for a birthday day out?

i am a single mum and I have had a really hard month financially. My daughter has a birthday, she’s a teenager used to usually getting spoilt on her big day. I just cannot do it this time. Her birthday is a couple of days before payday.

She will be going out with her friends once I get paid but on her actual day I was thinking to take her shopping and out to her favourite restaurant. Her shopping will be with money given to her by relatives. I have saved a voucher for a takeaway for the evening.

I only have a few token presents to give her and it just feels awful. Her cake I have made myself. All in all it just feels like I haven’t made very much of an effort. I spoke to her about this and she seemed fine with it but I could tell she is disappointed

She knows you don't get paid for 2 days and your making the best of it. She needs to learn that unfortunately money is a finite resource. Presuming you are treating her once you've been paid. But don't go over budget and skint yourself. She is old enough to understand budgeting. Would she be up for getting a Saturday job?
