Single parent to 9 & 12 year old boys 65% of the time, work 4 days as a nurse.

Yesterday eldest went out with a mate so I took youngest out to a 'cat cafe' then out for lunch. 1700 two of his friends came for a sleepover, pizza 🍕 delivery. This am I've made pancakes 🥞 and they've played. About to drop other two home, 9 year old pipes up 'where are we going/what are we doing this afternoon'. AIBU to expect him to entertain himself/play with his brother this afternoon so I can sort the house and recover myself!??

No you’re not being unreasonable to want to stay at home. Your child was asking what you are doing, just tell them you aren’t doing anything 🤷‍♀️

No you're not being unreasonable but that's kids for you 😂

"I'm having a day to do things I want/need to do, you can play here or watch something."

He’s just asking as he wants to know. Tell him it’s a chill day. What’s the point of this post?!??
