To have donated the bag for life carriers

my partner has this habit of not taking a bag with him when he shops, he always buys them for 30p a go. They took up residence in the gap between the fridge and the kitchen cabinet. I kept 6, and donated about 30 to the local food bank. (I made sure they were folded)

im now in the doghouse because I “gave away a tenner”.

he says I am unreasonable for giving them away. I don’t believe I am because they are being put to good use.

If you are unreasonable then so am I.

You donated a tenner to charity. That’s a good thing.

helpfulperson · 15/03/2024 15:54

Ŵhat were his plans for them?

And no you are not being unreasonable.

Offer to buy him 30 more for his birthday?

Kittenkitty · 15/03/2024 15:54

He gave away a tenner to the supermarket, you gave away some bags to people who need them.

They will be really useful to the food bank and it doesn't sound like he'd have actually used them anyway.

I like the suggestion for buying him some for his birthday!

and yes, he wouldn’t use them. He only uses one, once in a blue moon!

Apparently I can’t give away the 6 we have stored. But I’m sure we are going to get more in a months time!

😂😂😂

Y, he was the one who spent the tenner! He’d be lucky to get it back by seeking to sell the bags, perhaps they could try that on the Apprentice

It's him that's wasted the money on buying bags when you have dozens already at home.
