Can anyone suggest some beautiful words for my dad's headstone.
He was a very loving man.

Goshcthis is hard, depends on you and your vibe as a family. We had something weord in Latin on my Dad's. How about just to kick things off, Beloved name, Father, brother, Much loved, much missed?

"He was a very loving man"

You said it OP.

I’m very sorry for your loss.
I found reading online what others had decided to write very helpful, it will come to you. This is what I settled on for my Dad, I hope it helps. :-

Your Dad’s name
Dates
A truly honourable man
The loving and loyal rock
On which our family is built

You could simply say he was a loving man and much missed or you could put something like a quotation from a appropriate poem or song - either one he liked or one that says how you feel.

@Flyhigher , you’re welcome.
Keep in mind and I’m sorry to mention this if anyone else will be eventually sharing the grave. My mum died first (she loved poetry and has a very appropriate poetic quote, which I like to think she would appreciate) to leave enough room on the stone. We just about managed with my dad but it was a pinch. Xx

Xxx. Thank you x
