God I’m sick of it! Diagnosed out of the blue in 2022 at the grand old age of 33, currently on keppra, extended release carbamazipine and clobazam for focals (partial and complex) and I just cannot stand it.

I got to a good place where the meds were working and all seemed fine and then had a tonic clonic completely out the blue after the school run and since then the focals have been out of control. Looking to switch keppra to Vimpat?? I think? To see if that helps. But obviously have to titrate the meds for fucking ever and the risk of more seizures!!! Argh!

I have an amazing support system, but tired of always having to ask for support. I just want my old life back.

I feel for you. I have non-epiletic seizures so have to keep explaining to people there is no medicine for it. Plus no one ever believes me when I say I'm fine afterwards. How long does it take you to recover?

I’m not well-versed in NES - must be so annoying there’s no meds you can take. Plus point on the recovery time though. How do they present?

Post-ictal for me depends on length and if I’m aware during seizure or not. Sometimes I’m fine in 5 mins, other times it takes a day or so.
