How to cancel a cleaner?

Had a cleaner recently and she did a good job but tbh I hate having someone in my house and I know it sounds silly but I don’t feel it is worth the stress and money. Stress as in she can only do weekends and this is a big chunk of our time. I also feel bad for her as it’s no public transport here so even though we can pick her up from station we can’t drop back due to it clashing with kids activities. She also said our bathroom smelt bad which is making me embarrassed and I feel I have to clean up before she gets here. I don’t necessarily think she’s done anything wrong it’s just me I don’t like having anyone here especially right now as I have a lot going on personally.

shes been unable to work for personal reasons for past 2 weeks so haven’t had her around. She due to contact me before the weekend so I thought I’d get there first. How do I politely tell her no longer to come? I’m really stressing over this! I have anxiety and ADHD with possible autism so this is very hard for me.

Just tell her that , sadly, due to rising costs, you can no longer afford a cleaner.

"Hi, hope you're well. Just letting you know that our circumstances have changed and we no longer need a cleaner. Thanks for the work you've already done for us! Good luck in the future, WRAF."

This, perfect.

Thank you all. I’m wondering if I’m being unreasonable by not having her. I did make it clear I was looking for a Wednesday cleaner as that’s my day off but she talked me into coming early Sunday morning. I can’t have a lie in or take kids swimming!

@ApolloandDaphne thats true I can’t afford her! But thought I really needed one as everyone else seems to not be able to live without one

Just re-iterate Sundays aren't working for you, and if she can't do Wednesdays, then she'll have to go.

hi, Im a cleaner. she shouldnt take it personally, people cancel cleaners for all sorts of reasons. also if you ever go back to having one try different agencies who should accomodate your requirments
