Beauty salon asking for Medical certificate?

Just that - going for a facial and pedicure and mentioned an illness from 10 plus years ago unrelated to face or feet and they want a letter from a GP!! Is this normal? I’ve never heard of this!

To add insult to injury I popped into the GPs today and they say they don’t do letters for anything now even marathons or skydiving so definitely won’t do this!

Any experience?

Never heard of this.
It seems excessive for noninvasive procedures, I'd be looking for another therapist

Go elsewhere and don’t mention anything that doesn’t actually relate to your treatment
