I've had the mirena coil for a year and a half. No problems at all. 28 day cycles, 5 days of light bleeding, very regular. For the past 3 months my periods have beeb quite heavy and painful again with lots of spotting in between. It's hard to tell when you have a coil whether it is the coil causing it or something else. Is this a common experience with mirena or no? Strings are still in place and can't feel the device poking out which I know can happen. Just a bit miffed that my horrible periods are back!
