To call plumber back after 5 months

Shower install and it is leaking at a point only recently noticed after 5 months - may be like it and just noticed or could be a new development

Would you expect plumber that installed shower and cubicle to come back and rectify for free after 5 months?

No. I would expect to pay to get it fixed.

Yes, after less than a year I would expect them to come back and fix for free unless it was clear you had damaged it or were otherwise responsible in some way.

I would not employ a plumber or builder to install anything unless he could guarantee the work for 5 to 10 years plus. There's no way it should be leaking after 5 months. Of course tell him to come back. He certainly shouldn't charge you as his installation was clearly faulty.

Still unsure - any more views?
