Areas in Belfast to stay

Posting for traffic!

Looking at popping to Belfast for one night. Usually go for Airbnb.

But don’t know any of the areas in Belfast! Looking at somewhere fairly close to ferry.

Anywhere to look out for or steer away from?

Any tips appreciated!

Stormont area and Ballyhackamore are a good bet. Enjoy your stay in Belfast

Just stay in BT1. Then you’re in the centre for everything.

The ferry port is not far from the city centre, so you could just stay in the centre.

The cathedral quarter is very near the centre; it's a little area near St Anne's cathedral & the new University of Ulster buildings that has a few nice hotels, pubs and restaurants.

The university area (around Queens university), another 10 mins away, is also quite a nice area. It has the uni, a large museum, botanic gardens etc.

The titanic/docks quarter is v near the ferry port, but a little bit out of the centre, and still being developed. It hasn't got the established/Victorian vibe of the other two areas I've mentioned.

If you want to go to the Titanic museum, I'd probably stay in the cathedral quarter ... Because it's sort of central between the city centre and titanic quarter.

Just stay in the city centre, there isn’t anything near the ferry port and you can get there easily by taxi.
the cathedral quarter has lots of choice and is nearer to the port.
