To think that a lightweight buggy with a big basket shouldn't be impossible to find?

I have an Uppababy Vista which I love because of how much it holds. My youngest is one so will be using a buggy for a long while yet, and I have three young DCs so loads of stuff to cart about.

However, I find the vista really heavy for getting in and out of the car, up and down steps (including to my house) etc.

I would love to get one of those lightweight buggies, like around 6kg ones. But I've been looking for hours and they all seem to have crap, small baskets.

Does anyone have a lightweight buggy with a basket that can hold a similar amount to the vista?

Maclaren strollers are pretty good. Many with big baskets, and light.

Thanks, is there a particular one you're thinking of, as the ones I've found so far seem to have quite small baskets compared to the vista?

We loved our Baby Jogger City Mini - think it weighs 7-8kg. It's really sturdy, plenty of room for pre-school age with a decent basket and one handed fold. You can attach buggy boards etc if needed.

Following with interest. I need the same!!

I think a lightweight buggy would struggle to be sturdy enough to manage a full basket the size of the vista tbh. I think you'll struggle.

I have the Graco Myavo as our car/travel buggy. I don't know how the basket compares to yours but it's certainly good enough for me: I can fit a large rucksack in with everything toddler and I need for the day, plus odds and ends like a rolled up coat, couple of toys or whatever.

I can't carry as much as I do when I use the regular pram about time but that's because it's so heavy duty I can go shopping with it and attach shopping bags to the handlebars with carabiners. The Myavo would top over. I think it's 6kg. It doesn't feel flimsy though and the wheels are good.

Lightweight pushchairs are always a compromise as everything is cut down to save weight but the Myavo is the best compromise I could find.

Came to say this - decent enough basket size and light enough I could carry the whole thing with child in it up and down stairs on my own if I needed to

Get an Out and About pushchair. I honestly can't recomend them highly enough.

I've had an out n about, I find the basket absolutely terrible!

I've bought a bugaboo butterfly and I'm really happy with it. Not quite vista basket size but not far off.

This is so weird are you me?! We had a vista and have now got a butterfly. It's so much better than all the other small lightweight buggies we tried. I was just about to suggest it to you!

Hah, jinx!

I'm hoping this will really be the one, I'm going to give it a few months and then hopefully get rid of the vista.
