Seriously cant believe I have, but I caught COVID again a couple weeks ago. Got it over xmas and new years, 3 weeks later got hit with Flu A (tested) and Pneumonia in which I had to go to hosptial, now I have fkin COVID AGAIN!!!! This years been awful (March 23 to now) since LO started childminders - shes sick, im sick, repeat (DP doesnt get it as much). Tested negative between xmas (DP was away) and now (DP has got it this time too so know it isnt the same infection)

Im super wiped out, weary, weak and shakey. Have had all the immune system tests done and nothing come of it. All bloods done, slightly sub par ferritin but am on iron for that.

Take sambucol, zinc, vit c, beta glucans, astragulus, eat well, sleep 8 hours.

Is it normal to feel wiped out after that succession of viruses? I can walk about 5 mins then I just feel shakey and horrible. Took a drive today but couldnt even get out the car cause I was so wiped out.

Good grief! You poor thing. What a year.
But yes, you will feel wiped out for far longer than you ever expect. Your body expends so much energy fighting an infection, and it takes time to replenish, particularly when you don't feel like eating much.
Boost your leafy green and fruit intake, and lots f slow release carnbs your body can utilise
Rest where and when you can (easy to say I know)
Take care

Gosh that sounds awful. just the hospitalisation would wipe me out let alone the rest of it.

I had step A, followed by tonsilitis followed by a two week long cold the last month and i am dead on my feet - i cannot imagine how you are even awake enough to type that

unfortunately once you get one bad illness you immune system is exhausted and everything comes at you. Get some rest and take care of yourself first and foremost.

No wonder you feel so bad! It’s not unusual to take a good 3 months to full recover from any one of those let alone 4 separate illnesses. Please take time to rest and recover properly and think about how you can minimise exposure if at all possible.

Thanks guys - thats super reassuring. I cant believe how many illnesses I have caught in the last year (one a month usually, and not the garden variety colds - strep, tonsilitis, flu in Sept) - really helps me to know that wiped out is normal because I end up pushing myself. DP is sick of me getting ill a lot so I end up pushing myself a bit more than I should to look after DD (2), but my body just doesnt have much strength in it.
