To go away for Mother's Day

I have the opportunity to go away for the weekend on my own, back Sunday evening.
I would love to do it as I really miss time on my own (we have 5 kids) but although happy for me to go thinks it's odd I wouldn't be with my kids on Mother's Day.
Most mothers days are spent going to his mums, going to mine and ferrying the kids round to do their normal activities so not much of a special day for me.
What's do people think? Unreasonable to go? Would I damage my kids and have them thinking I don't care about them or would they see it as a nice treat for mum? (Most are teenagers so might have some understanding)

I’d do it in a heartbeat

I would, too.
You're back Sunday evening, have a nice meal with your children then.

Go! Mothers Day is about the mother getting a break or treat, surely? And the kids will have fun with dad, so it's win-win.

Thanks everyone, that's stopped me feeling so bad! I suppose I should get packing!

I usually go out on my own for Mother’s Day and also go on solo trips other parts of the year. My children have survived the ten days maximum a year I’ve been away from them.

I usually go away for a few days on my own a few times a year but with it being Mother's Day I was questioning myself!
