Isn’t the teacher meant to let people know?

I’m friends with one of the school mums and she has posted that her DS has chicken pox. Her DS was at school Monday and Tuesday. Isn’t the teacher meant to let people know if one of the children has a contagious illness such as that? I thought they were meant to so other parents are aware and to look out for signs. Normally I thought things like that would be shared to the class on the app

It’s good practice for the school office to do so if they have a number of cases but it chicken pox isn’t a notifiable disease and there isn’t an out break. In the UK chicken pox is a regular childhood illness there is always the possibility that an ill
child has it.
