AIBU to stop following this YouTuber?

A minor issue but I’ve recently stopped following a friend of a friend whom I know but not very well. She’s posted about books for years and I enjoyed her content but she had a baby last year and since then 90% of her content is about the baby and baby items which is fine but not my thing at all so I’ve unfollowed.

Mutual friend is not happy that I’ve unfollowed her friend.(This came to light due a discussion when she asked me if I’d watched her latest videos.

I’ve unfollowed a few other YouTubers for the exact same reason and another because her food YouTube channel became mostly renovating her home.

I don’t expect people not to change their channel. We all change and it’s understandable that people’s interests change with it but AIBU to think it’s understandable that if you post about crotchet for years then switch to woodwork that viewers are under no obligation to continue to follow you?

Of course you're not being unreasonable. Nor, as an adult do you have to explain this to your friend.

No, not at all.

I have zero interest in babies and lots of interest in books.

I would not follow an uploader if they stopped posting about the content I am interested in.

Jesus Christ a friend of your who watches a YouTuber noticed you stopped following them and they bothered to give enough of a shit to mention how displeased she was...???

Does she not go outside? Confused

I used to subscribe to a YT channel that did their own investigations on dodgy celebs, suspicious crimes etc, then all they started uploading were 'lives' which were far too long and burnt up my data, or 'shorts' about their kid and pet rabbits. Not interested in either so unsubbed. It's what grown ups do so you're not being unreasonable.
