29 years old sagging eyelids...eyelid tape?

Hi so I've been using eyelid tape for a few days now as I have hooded eyes and I love how open my eyes look with them and the double eyelid I have I look so much younger. I had botox that made my lids more hooded so tried the tape and love the effect..

However I've noticed without them they have gone saggier and more hooded!
I am gutted as I love the way I look with them on but I'm worried i am going to make my natural eye lids worse :( my lids are already hooded and saggy but feel the tape is making it worse.

I can't afford surgery. Has anyone else experienced this with eyelid tape?
Or is there any creams to help tighten the eyelid skin - its such a bad insecurity of mine!

No but I've been temped to buy some, do you have a before and after photo?

AntonFeckoff · 04/03/2024 22:48

What's wrong with hooded eyes? I like them. If botox is making your eyes more hooded then why are you having it?

I'd never heard of eyelid tape but it sounds bonkers. You're 29 fgs. Why do you need to look younger?

I have slight ptosis ( one eyelid a bit lower than the other) and tried eyelid tape to improve my vision but it is such a faff.
Looks wise you could just grow a Claudia Winkleman style fringe instead?

If you really hate your eyelids, nothing is going to fix them except a blepharoplasty. They cost about 3-5 thousand. And you can afford it if you cut out buying sh*t you don’t need, like expensive creams, eyelid tape, that thing you saw advertised on instagram that you think will turn your life around, those drinks you buy at the bar that you don’t need because you’re already wasted anyway, those cute boots, etc etc etc. You will save up a few grand in no time if you just do it.

Yes, there are creams and serums to tighten your skin. I’m not sure what to recommend for eyelids though. It’s such thin skin and so close to your eyes.

Do you take collagen? Any other vitamins? Drink lots of water? I’d start there.

Do you work? How long has it been since your last promotion? Is it time to look for the next step up/career change?

Stop wasting money on any quick fix . Save up and go for eye lid surgery.

Have you tried loving yourself and caring less what others think?
