Dh and I have had another argument and I've been told I'm mentally unwell tonight because I dared to do the following:

Put the TV on for thr kids while I made dinner (they had toys out and had been playing for 20- 30 minutes after getting home from school/nursery) but I was in the other room so put it while I was cooking

Let them eat in the living room watching the TV

Fed youngest Dc(2) some of his dinner as he was distracted by the TV. I gave him maybe 2 spoonfuls ro remind him it was there and he was doing the rest himself

Dh is on nights tonight and came down and ranted that we were eating in the living room with the TV on and proceeded to tell me to F off plus a few other choice words.

We do normally eat in the kitchen but that is directly under where he was sleeping so I made the decision to eat in the living room to attempt to be quieter.

Dh did then admit that he does sometimes let them eat in the living room with the TV on but he just didn't think they should be eating in there today

Agree with him your mh is shot from being married to him.
Then work out how to rectify that.

ANYBODY telling me to fuck off would get the same in return (metaphorically if the kids were in the room) and that would be the end of the relationship.

He came down and told you to fuck off??? And you're letting that go?

Where do women find these men, and why do they marry them?

OP, my husband would never do the behavior you've just described. It's as weird for me to read this as you reading "my husband came downstairs and started licking his shoes"

It's NOT normal

Think you need to re think this relationship, he's been like this since last year.
