Does anyone have any tips on how to make eyes less tired/haggard
I feel this is my biggest flaslw and it makes me less confident.
I have big dark circles..my eyes seem.very sunken
I don't think creams help for stuff like that? Also when I smile they crease ip really bad :( I'm 38 but feel it makes me look older

I use an under eye concealer, this is the one I use: Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser Eye Concealer. I do use eye cream and try and get enough sleep but I think concealer makes the biggest difference! Creasing and laughter lines can look attractive and aren't a big deal imo, I'd recommend sunglasses though when you're out in any sun they help so much to stop you squinting when it's bright and suncream as well to prevent sun damage.

I got some Sunday Riley eye cream in one of those gift boxes of premium sample sizes. It’s really effective (and iirc expensive for the full size 🙈)

Apply make up very sparingly. Use under eye concealer, the maybelline one is good and long lasting, Tarte shape tape is better but pricey. Again, apply sparingly (by patting) and allow to dry/set before adding anything else. Avoid dark/heavy eyeliner especially on lower lid, and several coats of black mascara is too much for some people. Darker colours around eye area make eyes recede more - keep any eyeshadow to matte bone type colour to open eye up. Use lightweight eye cream, nothing too rich as can make puffiness worse. Don't scrub/rub eyes - drags skin horribly and makes you look even more tired.

Vaseline after moisturiser and serum
at bedtime. Only a little bit needed and I've done it for nearly 45 years and the skin around my eyes is lovely and smooth. It's great for eyelashes, eyebrows and nails.

If your face is great you've used too much.

Don’t wear mascara on your bottom lashes.

I use undereye masks sometimes they really help

Do you wear make up? I’ve been looking at my eyes for last 2 weeks thinking they look really wrinkly (similar age to you) but when I have no make up on under eye looks fine. Yeh tiny lines but nothing major. I’ve started to not used foundation under my eyes and just use concealer and tiny bit of powder it’s made a huge difference.

Small amount of moisturising concealer, no foundation, def no powder. No mascara on the lower lashes. Less is more.

Also, low/no alcohol intake, lots of water, enough sleep.
