To wonder about stupid chocolate faces

Why is it only women who have to pull those stupid faces on chocolate adverts as if they are about to have a massive orgasm
just by putting the chocolate in their mouths? That’s if they can get it past their ridiculous inflated lips.

No idea OP. I usually tape things so I can fast forward through all adverts. It might be a technological backwards step instead of using streaming services but it does save my sanity 😂

I agree though and this thread's reminded me of those awful Nicole Scherzinger adverts, where she was having an orgasm over a pot of yoghurt.

I don't have a problem with chocolatey faces but I detest with a passion the vile Pot Noodles advert where a woman is sucking up her lunch so noisily that the whole office can hear her, I have to reach for the mute button.

That is irritating too but given the apparent choice bewtween slob or porn star, I’d go with the pot noodle ad rather than those chocolate ones.

Remember the Cadbury Flake advert with the model faking a bj on a Flake in the bath! So implausible with the steam, heat bubbles etc!!

It's advert land. Food drives women crazy with ecstasy. Men, on the other hand, are not allowed to appreciate good food (except in a manly "shovelling it down" kind of way).

Men are sold chocolate bars that are ‘packed with energy’ where women are sold chocolate bars that are an indulgent treat.

Same with shower gel and shampoo. You don’t have adverts with naked men luxuriating in the shower, they just wash and go.

But why would watching that appeal to women, surely the opposite would be the case?

I HATE the adverts based on the ridiculous premise that women have some deep and intimate connection to chocolate. It's a sweet. That's it.

And frankly, I'd choose cheese over chocolate Every. Single. Time.

The worst food ads recently were the Sainsbury ones with Stephen Fry making sex noises. No. Just no. I don't need that in my life.

On the other hand I’ve just seen the twix advert with the campers and the bears. I LOVE that one.

Because men are too busy driving massive lorries while eating chocolate to pull faces etc.

Women are lucky really - it seems from the adverts that we have many many sources of ecstasy: chocolate, fat-free yogurt, anything in M&S. It is a wonder we are not all collapsing in supermarket aisles in a state of orgasm a la When Harry Met Sally.

To be honest the closest I get to an orgasm these days is a good bit of chocolate so it doesn't really bother me

Except when it comes to feminine hygiene products, razors or deodorants. Then we’re all Olympic athletes. It’s a wonder we manage it with all the chocolate we eat!
