How to get DH to less vanilla in bed without freaking him out

I’m menopausal but after starting HRT I’m having a sexual reawakening which I’m loving. DH is fantastic in every way except he’s pretty boring in bed - same routine, positions etc, completely lacking imagination. This is okay and I get around by fantasising a lot during sex. However there’s a couple of things I’d like to try but don’t know how to bring them up with DH. Any ideas? I don’t want to freak him or give him a complex and ruin what we have.

Just tell him! Make it sound really exciting and fun rather than something you think he's possibly going to freak out over and see if he likes the idea. If he doesn't like the idea then you can go back to fantasising.

Why would what you want to do give him a complex?

Honestly I’d just ask him in almost exactly the same words you’ve used here, you’re interested in exploring some new things in the bedroom and want to know if he’d be up for it. I think just keep it very light & easy chat, don’t stress too much about it :)

You could suggest you both go on Mojo Upgrade. You both fill in the things you'd like to try, and see where they overlap.

What do you want him to try? Is he allowed to have absolute boundaries that you would not over step. I would be open to some things. Anal would be an absolute total no ,no matter how much the other party might want it ( he doesn't). Can't think of much thst would freak a man out so is it very 'different '.
