AIBU to ask what your baby's nap routine looks like? (3-6 months)

Posted on AIBU for traffic - sorry!

Hello,

I'd like to know what your baby's nap routine is like? How do you help your LO go down for a nap, how long do they typically nap for and how often do they nap? I'd also like to know where they nap.

My DD (13 weeks) only naps for 30 minutes at a time. She's constantly tired and cranky due to the short naps. She has CMPA so I'm not sure if the symptoms related to the CMPA are what's causing this?

Do babies nap better in their cribs? Mine currently naps (supervised) in her Joie swing. Could this be causing the short naps?

So just out of interest, what does your LO's nap routine look like?

TIA

At 3 months has no routine, she just slept when she wanted to, usually would either feed to sleep or she would fall asleep while in the pram or sling. Would usually contact nap if feeding to sleep but would sometimes put her in moses basket. Gradually between 4 and 6 months got in a bit more of a routine but still usually fed to sleep and contact napped or had naps on the go. My LO didn't nap longer than 30 mins (apart from early weeks) until she went down to 2 naps (o think about 10 months).
Just to note, until 6 months all naps should be in the same room as you to reduce sids risk, so crib naps not recommended unless you stay in the room with them.
