And why the BBC are doing a whole show of tributes to him, and postponing the Dave Myers RIP tributes to next week?

Am I missing a big joke here? It seems in quite poor taste.

He has cancer too.

I don't think they're 'postponing' anything as news of his death was only on Thursday. One assumes they want time to create a nicer/longer tribute. The content for today was already secured and they have explained.

It's merely a celebration of his long and esteemed career on Saturday Kitchen. I don't think it is part of any larger scale festivities.

I'd like to think a really considered tribute will be on its way for Dave Myers. Reading social media and the media as a whole there is such an outpouring of love for him it would be terrible for the BBC to do nothing.

I used to quite like RS .... until I got to that part in his biography where he didn't like where a prostitute wouldn't proceed if he refused to wear a condom, he was quite offended. (Like he thought he was some sort of sex god who was immune from catching and passing on an STD) I never finished that book, felt too dirty to handle after that.
