Would you?
Have you? Did you regret it?
AIBU and need to give it time?

Why is it that you’re thinking of leaving?

It’s hard to advise without knowing your reasons. If you’re just struggling to adjust then you probably need to give it more time, but you’ve not shared enough for people to go on.

I've done and never regretted it.

I had a job I wanted to leave in the first week but didn't feel I could. I really should have. It didn't get any better

Depends on your situation too. Do you have a partner who can support you? Savings? Or do you need a job to pay your mortgage?

Justcallmebebes · 28/02/2024 13:30

Depends. I started a new job last year after 14 years in my old one. I really, really regretted the move and hated everything about my new job

However, stuck with it and it took about 9 months or so, but now I love it and am so glad I stuck with it

I left one job 10 minutes into my second day. I was meant to be covering maternity leave but I was just left sitting at a desk for the first day and when I went in on the second day was told that the girl who I was covering for didn't have the time that week to train me. They also said that I would be required to work every second Saturday starting my first week and on my own. Place was a shit hole, nowhere to eat lunch apart from a filthy warehouse canteen. I told them I was going to get my drink from the car but walked out and drive home. Didn't regret it.

I didn't have a job lined up, but I was living in London and found temp work the same week. The people were awful. Life's too short to be miserable at work.
