A couple of weeks ago my youngest had an ear infection and a horrible chesty cough, was put on antibiotics and steroids (for his asthma). Since then he's been complaining of a really sore stomach and won't eat hardly anything. Is constantly asking to go to the toilet every few mins too. I took him to the Gp on Friday as we thought he maybe had a uti. She tested his urine and said everything was fine, also felt his stomach and it was soft. She said it was anxiety (which I very much doubt, he's only 4 and generally a lovely happy little soul). He's been more lethargic since he started getting the tummy aches too. I put him down for a nap this afternoon as he was just lying on the sofa looking exhausted and since he's woken up he's saying his legs are really painful. He's crawling everywhere because he says it hurts when he stands or walks. Not sure if he needs to be seen today though as he has no temp and otherwise seems ok apart from the legs and tummy pain. Any ideas what this could be?

Is he still on oral steroids? They can cause stomach ulcers and make you pee lots. If you’re worried call 111. The leg pain is weird and might be best assessed sooner rather than later. Hope he’s ok.

@KT8282 no he was only on them for three days. That was about 10 days ago now

I’d call 111 to put your mind at ease. Hope he’s on the mend soon ❤️

111, they will triage and advise if it can wait. Hope he feels better soon, it's horrible when little ones are ill

Just waiting for DH to get home before calling 111 but I've just checked where he says his thigh hurts and he's got a rash there now
