Viral Wheeze Asthma/No Asthma

Hi everyone, my dc ,5, had a viral induced wheeze a couple of times in the last few weeks with low oxygen, that required A&E visits (given salbutamol and steroids). But dc is not asthmatic. Does anybody’s children had viral induced wheeze and no asthmatic or later diagnosed asthmatic?

My son is also 5 and has viral induced asthma. As he always had it, he's considered asthmatic and we undergo regular check ups with GP/asthma nurse.
Since we upped his does of the preventer inhaler and given it religiously twice a day, he's asthma is way more manageable when he catches a virus (we hardly have to use the salbutamol nowadays).
I understand there are great chances he'll grow out of it.
