I keep seeing AI images on my Facebook feed. It seems like this has become a thing overnight. Endless bloody AI images.

One today was of a young boy aged about 8 or 9 next to a photorealistic painting of a dog. Tagline said something like "I painted this by myself."

Can't help myself so I look at the comments. Not a single post saying "this is AI ffs." Just screeds and screeds of "wow!" "Amazing! "You are so talented, god bless."

What the actual bloody hell? The lad had 6 fingers and no thumb!

AIBU to think we are absolutely doomed if this many people exist who cannot spot when an image is real or AI? Even as AI becomes more realistic, some people still lack the common sense to question whether or not an image might be real or not. Just straight in with "Amazing! God bless you child."

Don’t forget that half of those comments will be bots.

I feel the same with the dreadful recipes that pop up in my feed. Some “cooking” with cheese slices, a tin of corn and some dried pasta. So many comments saying “looks yummy” and other such crap. They can’t be real.

Dear god! And here's me bemoaning everyone else's naivety. I didn't even consider that half the comments will be bots.

Ffs, bots talking to AI. What even is fb anymore? It's half AI, half adverts now. My friends and family's posts are hidden in there somewhere.

I get these on my feed.

"My newborn made this professional 6 tier wedding cake, give her some likes!"

There also seems to be loads of weird AI fake celeb pics too.

And this is why they're trying to ban AI from becoming even more intelligent.

It needs to stop. It's like everyone's forgot the plot of the matrix.

I feel exactly the same. I keep seeing ones of holiday destinations that are clearly AI. In the comments people are tagging others saying "Wow, we should go!". When you zoom in the people on the beach have only three limbs, or five, or are shaped like seals and don't have faces. So fed up of FB now.

I get ones of dream homes/hotels. The walls are all fucked or they're in a cave and the water is in the living room.

"Wow, beaut, where is this?"

Nowhere. It's nowhere you absolute cretin.

Yes I saw the one with the hotel room with a water slide or something in it that didn't even make logical sense. What's the point? I don't get it?
