Mother and fathers days

Hello my partners daughters is with us bi weekly. This year Mother’s Day falls on dad weekend. We have asked that the mum collect Saturday eve or Sunday morning if she would like to spend Mother’s Day with her daughter. The reason we asked for her collection is that we do all the driving to collect and drop off after the mother moved away and she has recently taken a night and an extra day away I hope for additional CMS. Meaning our time is more limited. We would expect to drive to collect my partners daughter if it was fathers days. I would just like others option if we are being unreasonable? As the mothers stated we have to reduce our limited time to take the daughter to her as she allows us access to the child. Many tips would be super. Many thanks maddie

Bi weekly means every other weekend or twice a week?
How far away did she move ? Did your partner block the move legally ?

If your partner wanted more time then he’d get a Child Arrangement Order and ask for up to 50% of the time. It’s bizarre that he would blindly accept his ex reducing time at her convenience. If she’s moved far away then school makes 50% impossible but he would be able to get decent chunks of school holidays.

Have you considered asking her to swap weekends? Your partner might like having that precedent so Father’s Day is protected.

Your boyfriend should have sorted this with a court order. There is no excuse not to.
