To be looking for your best trapped wind treatment. Have woken in agony and can now understand why babies scream.

Good luck op. Hopefully it just turns out to be the worst case of trapped wind ever!! 🤞

orangetriangle · 21/02/2024 20:07

I have tried everything and nothing worked 2 co codamel works 9 times out of 10 wish I had known this years ago its an awful pain

GettingStuffed · 21/02/2024 20:10

Ginger tea, about 4 slices of fresh ginger in a mug, boiling water leave for a few minutes to infuse. Sip

My gall bladder pain was mistaken for "trapped wind" or reflux for many years. Especially if your pain only responds to strong pain killers, consider getting your gall bladder checked out.

soupfiend · 21/02/2024 20:27

Is it wind? Is it diverticulitis, that is painful lower down

Bunnycat101 · 21/02/2024 21:03

I had something similar last week- agonising lower abdominal pain and I could barely walk. Also had a fever. I was a bit worried it was my appendix but decided to try and sleep on it before going to a&e (which in hindsight was right but could have been a very bad decision if I had been wrong).

Was much better in the morning and pain gone by day 3. I still don’t know what it was but I tried the cycling legs, hot bath, hot water bottle, abdominal massage, lying with legs elevated, yoga poses, hip circulating, hot tea and some laxatives for good measure. One of those things worked, no idea which one!

Thanks dont think its gallstones as the pain is lowerdown but is really quite intense. Going to try a bath

  1. Your pain is lower down or 2) gallstones pain is lower down?

If 1) it doesn’t sound like wind

If 2), gallstones pain can be exactly like wind, when you have lots of undigested fat in there, because no bile is getting through.

silvershark22 · 21/02/2024 09:52

Thanks all!

The pain is so unconfortable and am now runable to find a comfortable position.

Squat with your back straight up against a wall.

And bicarb of soda in warm water.

Allthefoodandwine · 21/02/2024 21:15

Walking & more walking....

Anjea · 21/02/2024 21:15

Hopefully you're seen soon. It might not be wind for all this time.

alfagirl73 · 21/02/2024 21:18

I also swear by hot water. I had this bad the other week and drinking cups of hot water was the only thing that did the trick. Just keep sipping it - as hot as you can stand it.

AngeloMysterioso · 21/02/2024 21:19

Peppermint tea, deflatine and fart stretches-

on the floor on your elbows and knees- get your shoulders nice and low (lower than your bum) and rock forwards and backwards and side to side. You’ll feel the air in your tummy start to move towards the exit and then you can… let it out Grin

ThinkingAgainAndAgain · 21/02/2024 21:23

Whiskey, sugar and hot water, mixed in a small juice glass, sipped. It never fails.

Peppermint cordial is also really good. Peppermint tea isn’t strong enough, I find.

Anewuser · 21/02/2024 21:23

Sounds very similar to what my husband had. He was convinced it was trapped wind but turned out to be a perforated bowel.

Hope OOH doctor helps.

Tilllly · 21/02/2024 22:32

Any update @silvershark22

  • prob not back yet?
silvershark22 · 22/02/2024 01:44

Sorrytook a long tine to be seen in ooh
They think maybe appendicitis so went home to get things and then to A&E in another town

They have done a urine test and confirmed not an eptoic but am waiting on bloods

A&E is absolutely rammed and wish wasnt having to wait on plastic chairs while hobbeling to the bathroom to vommit.

Tilllly · 22/02/2024 02:26

silvershark22 · 22/02/2024 03:01

They'll be able to take blood when they're putting in the IV, hopefully.

mathanxiety · 22/02/2024 03:05

Are you on tour own or is there someone with you?

Tilllly · 22/02/2024 03:19
