Hi All,

I have two vintage, designer Handbags from my grandmother who passed away in 2020. They are fantastic in condition. One is a Chanel from 1997, and one is a Hermes HAC 1997.

I have no idea how to sell them on - if I can't I may just have them on display. But the travel bag is huge! Any suggestions of who / stores that would buy them from me?

Firstly, what fab bags to have! For vintage pieces, I would say either approach a specialist like Fellows or Christie's. Other options are luxury promise but their service is terrible or bagista who I think are much fairer and easier to deal with. Sellier Knightsbridge may also offer a competitive quote on consignment.

Unless you have a genuine idea what these are worth, please don't deal with anyone wanting to DM you on here.

Go through an official, verified retailer. The auction houses would be a good bet. You could also talk to Liberty's.

I’ve just sold one of mine through the Handbag Clinic. They do seems to get a large portion of commission, but it was entirely hassle free to be honest which was important to me as opposed to having to do the selling myself!
