Scrolling phones

Is it worse to scroll on your phone in bed when the other person is trying to go asleep or if you wake up early and the other person is asleep?

So my dh is on late shift this week. He gets home at 11 and will get into bed for 11.30 after he does his bits and pieces. Then sits upright in bed screen fully lit up and scrolls on his phone for about an hour. Sometimes he forgets the sound is on.
I wake up around 6.30 don't need to be up till 7ish so I lie on my side with phone down below the level of the bed with screen at lower light level no sound.
Dh got up this morning giving out again that I woke him up playing on my phone.
When he is on early shift he gets up at 5 and will scroll for 10-15 minutes

Phone scrolling in bed is awful. Big reason why I sleep separate from my DH, he does this and I can't stand it... so to me you're both unreasonable. (But your version seems better)

If it's good for the goose, it's good for the gander. Either you agree that no-one reads their screen in bed or you agree that you can both do it.

This is right - either both can or neither can

Just stop doing it! Both of you!

If its waking or disturbing the person who's trying to sleep then neither is okay
