To ask you what is wrong with me?

Stress has been building up at work for weeks. I'm in a role in which lots of senior staff members ask me for admin support so while what they're asking is reasonable, the quantity is becoming unmanageable. Chatted to my manager last week and felt positive about next steps to take.

At the weekend i woke up panicking and ended up working on something quite challenging from 5am to 10am. Since then, I've had severe muscle pain, nausea, headaches, dizziness and am balancing this with my worries.

Am I having some sort of meltdown? Is it likely that the stress and physical symptoms are all linked?

Yes, symptoms of burnout Flowers

Thanks @LaurieFairyCake for the response. I've experienced mental health problems before but have never felt like this when the physical symptoms have actually stopped me from trying to push through it. I'm experiencing a lot of guilt today but absolutely know that this break is needed.

It could be burn out, but it could turn out to be a virus - I tend to have a couple of days of horrible depression before I come down with a virus. Either way, your body is telling you that you need to rest and recuperate, plenty of fluids etc

You shouldn't have had to work at 5am. Was this an extra admin task, or due to the fact you were pushed for a deadline on your normal work due to too much extra admin? Either way I think see your GP and get a note for a few days off. Try and relax and tell your employer your working hours and boundaries.

One strategy might be to tell your manager "I have these 10 requests, I can only do 5, which should I prioritise?"
