Who is really annoying you at the moment (lighthearted)

Lighthearted moan! I just want a good moan about 2 people in my life , its not deep or serious so not worth moaning in real life or having a go at them. So anyone want to share their low stakes annoying people?
My first one : a woman at my gym who WHEREVER I put my stuff, hangs her clothes directly above my bag so I have to move it . Even when the changing room is empty (my gym has no cubicles just one room with a low bench and pegs above. The whole room can be empty apart from my bag and she will put her clothes above it. Ggggrrrrr
Second one is a woman at work who ALWAYS has an issue. I regularly have to send out very generic emails to staff, EVERY time she will reply back why this doesn't quite apply to her or how she needs to do something a little bit different. She will try to make everything so individualised and often, it's something she could just do and no one would know.
Rant over!!!
Who is annoying you? Lighthearted 😀

A colleague who cannot think about any of her decisions at all and thinks that “one minute management” and “quick thinking” is the greatest skill that she brings to the job.

She leaves a series of catastrophic messes behind her that take much more time and effort to sort out than it would have taken her to give her decisions more time in the first instance. But hey, she gets the thrill of thinking she’s “quick thinking” or something when it’s actually just impulse and lack of discipline.

whew. Grin

My partner - he tried to help by putting washing away and for some reason mixed DS pants and socks together and didn’t match any socks. I’m heavily pregnant and seething about it but I’ll keep my mouth shut

Also 2 out of 3 of our cats have now decided that our 4 year old should feed them on demand. If DS is eating, there’s a minimum of 2 cats begging. If he goes into the kitchen they are almost throwing him across the room trying to get under his feet ASAP. Problem is, DS is 4 and now is convinced they are hungry!!! They absolutely are not. 2 greedy boys, they have dry food available all day, they are ruled by their stomach! It was funny to start with but it’s really annoying me now!

AlizeeEasy · 20/02/2024 07:51

The entire management at my work. We have a massive project that they put a deadline in that we knew we couldn’t meet, they made us work ourselves to the bone and then announced an extension to the deadline, if they had just listened to us in the first place we wouldn’t have had months of meaningless stress

aaaaaand breathe

It's so cathartic to have a good moan with others!

Isn’t it just?

Coleoo74 · 19/03/2024 07:40

Two of my colleagues

One who decided they didn't like their job (people management with own project portfolio) so took a side step. I was brought in to do their job 18months ago. They still try and get involved and have the most brash and abrasive attitude I've literally had enough

Another who does not report to me so I can't do much apart from feedback to my boss, this person makes mistakes bad mouths others in the team is in cahoots with person above taking an hour a day out of their diaries for a catch up, then complains about work life balance. Made a huge mistake which was business detrimental but boss thinks sun shines out their arse because their projects are ticking along nicely.

These two colleagues seem unable to 'stay in their lane' it's driving me mad to the point I'm thinking of leaving the company I've worked for for 10 years because my boss doesn't like management themselves so can't have a word!

Woman at work who gets in late every day and does absolutely nothing but talk all day and does her work at weekends and claims overtime

Scarletttulips · 19/03/2024 07:47

Ohhh we have a lad in our office who never finishes his work and does masses of overtime - that he doesn’t actually do and yes the boss knows and does nothing about it.

Person 2 doesn’t listen and it’s everyone’s else’s fault if something is wrong. Which he’ll complain about for hours to anyone who will listen.

HoweverWeare · 19/03/2024 07:52

No one. I am out for blood. 🩸

Nevernottrying · 19/03/2024 07:55

Me! I’m furious with myself. Sitting here feeling very uncomfortable after tea. I have put on all the weight I lost two years ago and feel and look dreadful . It was so hard to loose and I felt so much better in myself than I do now. My clothes are tight and I’ve only got myself to blame!!

moonjump · 19/03/2024 07:57

My husband, who has the same virus as me but is moping about sighing in his dressing gown of doom, acting like he's dying while I take regular medication and get on with my life.

What husband is doing to weaponised incompetence- don't fall for it. Ask him to do it again properly.

Benjaminsniddlegrass · 19/03/2024 08:00

Pretty much everyone, not their fault I'm just extremely hormonal (peri menopause)

Thats actually quite clever, if you can get away with it 🤣...not so if you have her workload though

Bluescissorsbluepen · 19/03/2024 08:04

I’m having a genuine issue with a family member but it’s making my boss situation so much more annoying.

I started 6 months ago and got zero handover so have just been working things out. He was very much get the work done however you like, don’t consult me, don’t wait for me, just do. I flagged some stuff in thr early days which I figured he’d want to know, clients wanting a bit of gladhanding, bill that would be outside the usual. Nope just do, as long as the work is complete I don’t care. Ok fine. Now about once a month, can I let him know when a client is coming in so he can pop in and do some pr, can I let him know when the bill goes over X amount, can I give him a run down of what’s coming in the next month. Ffs! I was wantoimg to do all that at the start but now I’m the bad guy.

ohfook · 19/03/2024 08:05

Sam fender - when he sings about staring at the hallowed ocean as if to pick a fight, because the dreams his old man had for him lay on the other side.

I'm from where he's from
a) it's the North Sea not an ocean
b) pretty sure it's like Denmark and Norway across the other side of it. What dreams did his dad have for him there? Surely as a musician his dad maybe had dreams for him to break America?

So fucking petty but it annoys me every single time I hear it!

jengachampion · 19/03/2024 08:06

I slept wrong and my right shoulder has been twingey for a week

Fouxdefafaaiai · 19/03/2024 08:06

I have a friend, who absolutely cannot look up information for herself. Drives me batty she's constantly posting what time does so and so open, has anyone been here/there/everywhere. Learn to use Google woman 😆

huileverte · 19/03/2024 08:10

A senior manager at work (not my manager) who has mysteriously decided that a particular thing is my responsibility, even though it previously belonged to someone in their own team who left a little while ago.
And now directs anyone who has questions about the thing, or wants to make amendments to it, to me. I'm trying to tackle it but it's difficult when they repeatedly say in meetings 'speak to huileverte about that', even though I'm constantly pushing back. And now the managers the level below are doing it as well!

Fizbosshoes · 19/03/2024 08:14

Work client who is all about presenteeism and always calling other people lazy ....but too lazy to check own message or email trail to find information they need

"Can you refresh my memory on that" aka I'm too lazy important/busy to scroll back on our WhatsApp exchange or look at my own emails

Cloudful · 19/03/2024 08:22

I started a new job last week, same company different department. It’s been disorganised from the start. Trainer was out of office yesterday so I messaged a manager twice to ask for something ANYTHING to do and got one reply in the morning saying they’re just working things out and will be back in touch. I got nothing at all. Sent another email before I left, no reply. It makes me feel like I’m the pest for chasing but I just want to do some work 😭.
Also, I’m trying to lose weight and it isn’t shifting so I’m annoyed with myself for that too. I’ve got loads of clothes upstairs that are 2 sizes too small and I need to get my arse in gear.
Thanks op, that was needed!

IvanaTinkles · 19/03/2024 08:43

Job candidates - doing a lot of recruiting at the moment and we require all candidates to do a couple of short tests before moving to final interview stage to make sure they’re technically competent enough for the roles. OMG the number of people who don’t read the very simple instructions for the tests!

ssd · 19/03/2024 08:47

No one

Thankfully (and its not like me)

Mumteedum · 19/03/2024 08:48

Builders next door. 3 months in. Exterior mainly done but now another crew has arrived with their fucking radio. It's that loud, muffly, burbling constant noise above the sanding and drilling and shouting. I'm fucking sick of my neighbours doing stuff. They moved out. It's me that's out up with it.

Another day spent in earbuds. I have an illness that makes noise particularly difficult too. Grrrrr.

ApolloandDaphne · 19/03/2024 08:52

My mum. To be fair she has been annoying me for 61 years so I don't think it's going to change. I suspect I irritate her too.
