to ask about pregnancy on the Coil in UK. TW miscarriage

… I’ve got significant real reasons to feel someone is lying about being pregnant / miscarrying .

They claim 2 x pregnancies in the last year both of which while they were using a coil (I think copper). The chances of this happening twice are surely very very low?

And in neither case were they called in by midwife or doctor. Anyone know if you advised this to the GP (pg with a cool) would they call you in to be checked in case of ectopic?

They claim they took very strong antibiotics for a tooth abscess which caused them to miscarry. Would a dentist not check you weren’t pregnant before prescribing these?

The first time they miscarried also.

I've got a relative who had two babies while the coil was fitted. My DD got pregnant on the coil. She was in strange pain and we took her to the epu, they removed it and advised a pregnancy blood test. We had to sort this out ourselves. She was given a early internal pregnancy scan. You'd be surprised how blasé some GPs are and how shockingly bad pregnancy care can be.

So it can happen? But twice in a year seems statistically unlikely
