Lighthearted but true.
Bought a bunch 10 days ago and they haven't ripened yet.
Will they ever?

Nope - we had this issue at school! Two massive boxes of green bananas. Tried heat, sunlight, putting a ripe one in with them - nothing worked. Eventually opened one to see what they were like inside and they were runny and disgusting. Apparently it can happen if they are stored somewhere too cold.

Try putting them in a paper bag, or drawer, with a couple of apples.

They also like it if you put a different coloured sock on each one.

No

Sometimes they are deceptively sneaky: green skin, ripe inside. Have you tried one?
