My daughter is 6 year old(nearly 7), when she was 4 her biological dad decided he wanted to move to another country to be with his new gf- , doesn't check in to see how she is etc, has a call every now and again with her that lasts approx 5 mins (if that) he doesn't pay no maintenance, she doesn't want to speak with him when he does call, it is an effort for me to get her to speak with him. He is planning on coming back to UK to visit, and is asking to spend time with her, I asked my daughter if she would like to see him she said no, AIBU if I don't allow this?

When he left, he did not take her into consideration at all (he never told her he was moving away), she was left confused as to where he had gone, this became the start of some serious separation anxiety that she is still struggling with to this day.
