Short murder mystery/thriller, absolutely beautifully written, about an awkward woman who goes to a stately home to log information - maybe about the buildings - and becomes obsessed with the couple in the room below, starts watching them through her bathroom floor.
Something about oranges in the title, and the author has a more famous book which is something about swimming. Written quite recently, author is female.
