My manager is rude to me

I get on well with my manager but I have realised we have fallen into this relationship where she will bite my head off/put her head in her hands exasperated/ talk down to me - she definitely nitpicks, micro manages and sometimes tells me off! Is this what a manager dynamic is like and do I have to suck it up or should I call it out?

I dont enjoy confrontation but I will stand up for myself if needed.

Some people are just like that.

My boss is a control freak and micromanages everything then has a go at people if they disagree.

She can also be lovely.

I just suck it up or argue back if I feel it is appropriate. Or just have a bitch about it with someone!

Doesn't sound like a typical professional working telationship. I think it could have a longterm affect on you. It did on me.

Don't tolerate it. Ask her to stop treating you like that.

Well, there's a couple of things - are you exasperating your manager to the point the put their head in their hands when you speak? Are any of the "micromanaging" remarks accurate? Do you make lots of mistakes or need to be reminded to do tasks etc?

If you believe you're not that kind of employee then there's a problem with her.

What sorts of things is she micromanaging about?

When is she exasperated?
