To ask you to name the most figure flattering dress in your wardrobe

I am size 16 and would like a flattering day dress to team with boots. I am a tall 5 foot 9 and want something with long or 3/4 sleeves and without a low cut neck line as I don’t have a large chest. Ideally something of a midi length. I always steer towards darker colours, but could be persuaded by a floral print. My budget would stretch to up to £150 for the right dress!

You're similar to me OP! I'm a size 16, and 5 foot 8. The most flattering one on me is a wrap style dress. Fitted, but not too tight, with three-quarter length sleeves. It's above the knee, with a little split where the wrap meets. That might not be helpful though, as from your post, I think you're asking for a specific recommendation? Mine is pretty old. Mainly just bumping for you really!

Thanks very much @Somethingsnappy a wrap dress is my go to normally as well! Posting here for traffic, but might be best posting elsewhere!

If I spent about £150 on Vinted I’d probably buy 10 dresses and get 2 amazing dresses, 3 that were flattering and 5 not so much. Just saying what I’d do. I go with whatever other people are wearing now, I copy the students in their jumpers and long skirts, with trainers, etc. prairie dress with wool vest too.

Part Two, this website Fashion Fifteen does lots of nice Scandi stuff (no not Cos-style cocoon sacks). Lovely dresses, good size range & great prices in the Sale section.

I have 3. Size 16/18 with big belly and boobs.

One is a skater style tshirt dress I wear in summer with a gentle v neck and aline skirt. No waist seam as they just end up tucked under my boobs and make me look pregnant! Camo fabric (I'm a bit alternative)

Second is a winter maxi jersey dress with a scoop neck, horizontal stripes and again a slightly a line skirt and no seam. Khaki coloured with black stripes

Third is a winter bodycon style ribbed dress it's a square neckline and long sleeves. Way more fitted than I ever imagined I'd wear but figure hugging rather than tight. Black

I mainly wear tshirt/shirt and jersey style dresses so I'm not sure I'm much help but style wise these work for me.

My motto is NEVER a waist seam no matter what lol
