Early MC last week and we are devastated, it was our first baby and long awaited/wished for. It only took 2 cycles, 1 using OPK strips and that’s when I caught. Both mid 20s, taking vitamins and lead a healthy lifestyle.

I’m hoping this is a good sign for the future that we won’t experience too much struggle conceiving again fingers crossed.

I am scared of another loss but think that fear will always be there.

I’ve stopped bleeding and tests are negative so we are going to try again this cycle. Did anyone get pregnant and carry to term before your next proper period, and was all ok?

I know similar threads have been posted before but I’d love to read some happy endings where you got your rainbow. I need some hope this week. Thank you! 💕

One DC followed by 3 MCs within 14 months of each other. We were going to make an appointment to have the cause investigated, knowing that the NHS don’t do a lot until you’ve had three losses, but we put it off until after our holiday. I came back pregnant with DD, who is now snoozing on me. I was 41, so I can only guess that the MCs had something to do with age - but they might just have been random. We will never know now! Best of luck OP, and sorry for your losses.

It took 3-4 months, about the same for pregnancy 1. We did wait a couple of months after the MC which was at 11.5 weeks. I'm now 7 weeks, so early days but had a positive scan. Have zero expectations is my advice, hormones can be changed even by a short pregnancy. There is no reason you will have another MC, even more so as yours was so early on. Take time to get your head together and spend time as a couple, there's no rush.

I got pregnant the 2nd cycle after my miscarriage and she is now nearly 10. I'm really sorry OP, and I hope TTC goes well for you x

This is the thread I needed today! Miscarriage at 6weeks, all over yesterday. I already have a 13 year old but this was first for me and my boyfriend, I'm
Still numb. Fingers crossed for you ❤️

I'm sorry Flowers

I lost one at 6 weeks - would have been due around 18 years ago, today. DS2 will be 18 in early May.

BananaHammock23 · 14/02/2024 17:12

Sorry for your loss OP Flowers I had an ectopic in August 23 which had to be operated on to be removed. I fell pregnant again in October and I'm now 20 weeks. IVF pregnancies so feel super lucky! Hope it will be as speedy for you

Nomorethanthree73 · 14/02/2024 17:39

I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks and was pregnant again 6 weeks after that. We had decided to stop "trying" and testing but because I had been pregnant before, I knew immediately. I resisted the temptation to have early scans and properly started to enjoy the pregnancy after the 20 week scan, where we discovered that she was perfectly healthy and a girl! She's now 14 and sitting downstairs with her Bestie watching Marvel films (she's also a Rainbow baby). Fingers crossed for you, there's every reason to think that your next pregnancy will be fine 🤞

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 14/02/2024 20:03

My dd had 2 early misses, followed quite soon by her first successful pregnancy (she was 38) and a 2nd baby arrived only 15 months after the first.

brussels3108 · 14/02/2024 20:10

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

I had one 7+6, waited for my period to return, then got pregnant before my next period. Now in third trimester and looking great. Sometimes there are just no answers.

RainbowHoping · 14/02/2024 20:33

There are so many more good news stories than I thought which is really reassuring. Thank you everyone. The loss has been horrible but I have to keep hope we’ll have our rainbow in our arms very soon

Yep, used opk strips after the miscarriage so was able to say (fairly accurately) when I ovulated. I also had ovulation pain so knew it was correct. My GP was happy to use ovulation date minus two weeks as 'LMP' date for paperwork. 14 month old is currently asleep beside me!

Did you ovulate later than you expected?

I had an early loss in June and got pregnant in July, I'm now 32 weeks. Really hope it happens soon for you and sorry for your miscarriage x

1982mommaof4 · 15/02/2024 20:06

Sorry OP it's heartbreaking, I have had 6 miscarriages and three very healthy children. I seem to have a miscarriage in between each child one before my first and then two after my last. So many people have missed miscarriages and don't even realise. Keep your chin up.

Comtesse · 15/02/2024 20:10

I had a chemical pregnancy when I was 35 then got pregnant again straight afterwards. She’s 13 now….. don’t despair Flowers
