I've received my medical reports form PIAB and offer of settlement amount. The main orthopaedic report does need reference part of my injuries, in fact the most significant ones .
The Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon spent exactly eight minutes taking all my details, told me to answer yes or no to all questions and then spent three minutes in an exam on my body. I was in and out of the car park before my fifteen minutes were up, for context.
I emailed my
Solicitor immediately after the assessment telling her what happened and that to me, t was a box ticking exercise and not a comprehensive ortho assessment as ordered by PIAB, the assessment body.
So the report is back and as I said, there is no mention of the most significant injuries and the offer has been based on his report. Not my GP report, not
My Physio's and not the osteopath I attended for 14 months. They have awarded an uplift of f e2k for my injuries which I have to the present and my treatments etc have cost me substantially more not to mind the future treatments I will need.
There is no right of reply as far as the Ortho Consultant is concerned .
My psych report is assessed as 'moderate' but the offer has been on the basis of being ' minor' . There was an option on the report to tick mild, moderate, sever, profound .
Would you accept this ?
I have 28 days to decide to accept or go to court . Insurance company has already accepted liability .
