So finally agreed on 2k budget, we were going to go as cheap as possible and spend it on a holiday instead but we paid £1700 for our mattress 10 years ago and it's still fab, we are just moving to a king size from a double so need a new one.

Ours is soft/sink in/cloud like BUT is an orthopaedic mattress as we both have sciatica, I don't know how it works but it does! The version of our mattress has been discontinued otherwise I'd just buy the same in a bigger size.

Thanks in advance!

I couldn't find a soft mattress 8 years ago. Medium soft was the best but still rock hard despite a mattress topper and I've not been a happy bunny since then. Last month I caved and bought the best mattress topper ever from Dunelm and I'm in love. The first two weeks I was like a dying fly when I tried to turn over because it "nested" me 😂Might be worth a thought?

I’ve got a John Lewis Climate Collection mattress. Springs and memory foam. It’s softer than an Emma mattress (that I had to return) but not quite as deluxe as a Tempur I had a long time ago.
