Camhs Band 6 interview

Hi
Just posting in AIBU for traffic.

I have a Band 6 Camhs interview.
It's 30 mins and no presentation so I'm thinking standard NHS 6 Questions.

Can anyone give me any pointers please. 🙏

I'm Autistic so hate the unknown element.

My friend works in the Council and said 20 mins before an interview they post out the exact questions.

Wish NHS staff old do that.

The usual

  1. why you want the job / what qualities and experience you have (don’t forget personal attributes organised etc)
  2. something on risk and how you managed it and what would go differently
  3. case study - what went well what would do differently (if you deliver interventions)
  4. something about working in an mdt - challenges
  5. maybe something on safeguarding
  6. if role is a lot of care coordination - something about how manage this - clinical governance (notes etc) juggling,
throw in use of supervision where you can always always ask question at end even if you already know the answer - as when people don’t it feels as if they aren’t interested.

im not medical - so above questions don’t reflect that

oh sometimes may ask about a government policy if relevant or nice guidelines

Great thanks @Farmhouse1234
That sounds clear and well laid out.

When I don't have it structured it panics me !

Lots of tangible examples works well. Also what are your development needs

If they DON'T ask a safeguarding question, they're breaking safeguarding guidance!

In future, you could try requesting the questions in advance. DP has ASD and has a lot of success with asking companies (private and public) to provide this info as part of making allowance for his disability. He usually gets given the questions 10 mins before his interview. Good luck
