To sometimes just want to sit in the playground by myself

Have lots of amazing mum pals, who I’m very grateful for and love doing organised meet ups.
However, where I live, although not a small village or anything, lots of mum’s obviously go to the same places with their children.
I’m quite an introverted person at times and have to be in the mood to meet up with groups of friends.
Aibu in sometimes feeling uncomfortable at playgrounds etc in case people I know turn up and we inevitably will spend the rest of the day with the kids and chatting etc and not always wanting to?
Sometimes I just want to sit quietly and watch my Dc or play with them and not have to make chit chat or make an effort to look nice
I’m a miserable sod aren’t I!
Anyone else feel the same?

Headphones. You need headphones. Big ones. Even if you don't actually have anything playing on them. Quick head Bob as you walk into the playground, busy yourself hoiking dc up and down ladders, then just circle the playframe as they play. Don't sit.

If a mum comes over just pull the headphones to one side "sorry, did you say something?" Answer and headphones back down.
