To ask for Planitarium recommendations not in London

DD4 has got obsessed with space so I'd like to take her to a planitarium. We're in the West Midlands but would happily travel a few hours to find a good one. I remember going with I was a kid to London and loving it but the Greenwich one is just too far.

There are a few on Google but can't tell if its a half arsed video or a really good starry experience

Totally taking advantage of AIBU here!

Glasgow Science Centre if you fancy a bit further afield!

I second the recommendation for the one in Glasgow Science Centre. I've been to some fab evening astronomy lectures in the planetarium there.

Another vote for Leicester. I've done Think Tank which is a great museum but it's not all space. Leicester is amazing. We stayed at a Marriott with a pool for about £80 and made a weekend of it

There’s one in Winchester that I’ve been to on a few school trips. I have to close my eyes as they make me feel travel sick 😂 everyone else said it was brilliant though!

This is a really good one.

It’s in the Science Museum which is also a lot of fun.

I've been to one in the museum in Liverpool, which was good, but the best is Armagh Planetarium, though NI might be a bit of a trek for you!
