To find sexual jokes about family weird…

It was mum’s birthday on Sunday so the whole family were round her house for the afternoon. At one point I overheard my nephews joking around and doing “imagine ifs” like “Imagine if Nan was having a lesbian affair with (other nan) haha” “That would be so weird haha”. I found this really bizarre and they were doing these jokes about other family members too like “imagine if aunt was in bed with grandad haha”.

Don’t get me wrong I’m aware this is only joking but I wouldn’t joke about things like this nor have I ever heard anyone else doing it. Am I the prude? It’s just not normal to me?

Presumably these are children? They have discovered that the adults in their life have sex and saying how gross it all is.
They could probably say "imagine aunt with Idris Elba, gross!" but the only adults they know or have in front of them to think about is family. It's innocent, childish conversation

@SapphireEyes88 Yes they’re 13 and 14 so I completely understand the concept of sex being hilarious at that age but the family part I find a bit odd.

I think it’s immature and poor behaviour too for 13-14 years old. I thought you were going to say they were 9-10 years old.

Eww I've not heard anything like that and I'd have been too grossed out to say anything like that when I was a teenager.

Oh I definitely thought they were younger than that! It is odd but I think they are just pushing boundaries... Tbh they could be doing far worse. I'd probably have a word with them though

VERY odd thing to say. 'Imagine nan at it with another nan.' is not something I have ever heard any child or teenager say. Freaky!

Someone needs to tell them to shut up.
