I am forever mislaying my debit card. I've got a purse but when I've used it I don't put it back in the purse.

I put it in pockets, loose in my bag and it usually turns up after a look around.
Today I needed it and realised I haven't got it. I know when I last used it but that was a few days ago and I haven't seen it since.
I've now after a good search around stopped online as I can't find it.
I've ordered a new one. How can I keep it safe all the time?
I know I need to put it back in my purse when I use it as this is the problem?

Any tips for me to get stricter with myself. I live on the edge with my card all the time.
I'm fed up with it?😞

I was the same, use a phone case with card wallet and always take the extra 10 seconds to put it back no matter what - combination of discipline and convenience as I always have my phone with me so I always have my cards and always in the same place. Good luck!

Can't you just use google/apple pay?

I was going to suggest Google/Apple pay- everything is done via your phone and your card can stay at home.

Yes. You either just put it back into your purse immediately or use your phone.

I am exactly the same with my debit card OP but Google pay has revolutionised my life. Only issue is if you deal in cash? I really wish they'd let you use a QR code to withdraw cash...

Phone case with a card holder. You can use Google pay most of the time but sometimes you still need a physical card (paying at petrol forecourt, buying some stuff online)

A few supermarket petrol stations now have contactless on the pay @ pumps which is quite handy, I use my Apple Pay on them. Online shopping I also use Apple Pay to buy online as it’s on the list of payment options.

So I would definitely recommend google/applepay

I really hope they don’t offer this service- massive fraud risk!

I use Google pay and leave my card at home most of the time. I only take my card out on day trips now as a back up.
I also use my bra or the back of my phone. I'm not an organised person because adhd, but the key for me is consistently putting it in the same one or two places. It then becomes habit over time.
