Magazine Subscription Gift

Help! Putting this in AIBU as I didn’t know where else to put it. A lovely friend bought me a magazine subscription for my birthday before last (around 14 months ago) really lovely magazines that arrive every month. I initially thought that she had bought a 3 month or 6 month subscription but the magazines keep coming! Do I say something to her just in case she’s got a direct debit set up that she’s forgotten about? She’s very sensible and isn’t the type to forget about a direct debit but am worried that she’s still being charged?

I'd tell her. It's easy for subscriptions to be forgotten about and just roll on - magazines are usually 3, 6 or 12 month subs, so she could well have forgotten.

Just ask her unless you don't want to receive the magazines anymore?

Tell her. My aunt was happily paying for a magazine subscription for me for far longer than she'd anticipated.

I'd let her know, she may have forgotten to cancel at the end of the 12 month subscription and may be feeling a bit awkward about cancelling it now.

On the other hand I did this for my Mum and despite cancelling with the company and the D/D at the end of the 12 months they kept sending them. I had to contact them several times before they cancelled and my Mum ended up with several month's worth of free mags in the end.
