New job anxiety

I’ve recently accepted a new job and now have terrible anxiety about it.
I obviously wanted to leave my current role or I wouldn’t have applied to a new one. But now the reality has hit I am struggling to sleep at night, worried it’s not the right move for our family (I’m term time only at the mo, this new job is all year but flexible and can wfh whereas current job that is not possible)
please someone talk me down but I pull out of it 😫

New job sounds great. I would love to WFH! You just need to get through the first week nerves I think. I always feel like that about every new job and spend a little while looking back at my old job with rose tinted glasses!
How long until you start?

This is normal. It will pass. A few months into the new job and you'll be fine.

Anxiety when you’re about to do something new is normal.

Your primal brain is having a fight/flight response because it can’t tell the difference between a new gig and a new bit of the forest that maybe has tigers in it.

CBT can be useful to manage this, but you might just be able to remind yourself that this emotional response is normal, and it’s just part of the process of change.
